Holly’s writing has such heart to it; she really is the per- fect writer to tackle such important subjects. Her clear prose and understated humour are very refreshing, too. And her children’s characters are lovely.
Series Synopsis
Four friends realise that there’s lots of things they can do to help the environment and they set about doing them, with a few ups and downs along the way!
In FAIR FASHION, Maya is appalled to learn how little people in other countries are paid to make the clothes she wears. She convinces her friends to do a fashion show, just wearing Fair Trade clothes, and they raise lots of money for charity.They also convince their headteach- er to source the new school jumper from a Fair Trade outlet. But in the course of doing good, Maya has to reveal that her mother is a famous pop star turned TV presenter and she worries that no one will like her for herself any more. But of course that’s not true!
