In the ravine I stood and watched the snowflakes falling into the stream
into the stream flowing gracefully between

The black water came

Filled with melted snow to the brim
the creek came around a bend —
and disappeared below around a bend —
ground covered with snow
Thus I stood the snow descended by degrees into the stream
