Why did you acquire it?
It’s beautifully written with clever plotting and proper animal adventure. Life as a farm vet’s daughter shows Jasmine that nature is not always kind and life-and-death situations are never far away. But what cute animals! And what great stories! This series is a classic filled with heart.
Series Synopsis
Jasmine’s mum is a vet and her dad is a farmer, so looking after animals is in her blood. When Jasmine (secretly) saves a piglet from being destroyed because it’s so small, she smuggles it back to her farm and looks after it.And so Truffle becomes the first animal that Jasmine and her friend,Tom, rescue or adopt or nurse back to health and soon they have quite a menagerie. Full of love and care for the animal world in general, these are also deeply human books about friendship, patience (or the lack of it) and family life.A love of nature shines through all the stories, from baby deer to owls to otters and beyond!
