She has a special bond with him, and feels certain he will be assigned to her, despite not actually knowing Silver Shadow’s real name, or indeed having ever ridden him.Therefore she is upset to find out she is actually being paired with Henry, a lovely and gentle pony, but quirky and lumpy and with some funny habits too! And even worse, Silver Shadow, whose real name is Misty, has been paired with Izzy, the meanest girl at camp. Poppy is determined to find a way back to her dream pony, and comes up with a plan: she will get good enough on Henry to eventually ride Misty. Henry, however, seems to have other ideas... He has already embarrassed her and shown her up by going against all the studying she has done in preparation, but little by little, she is also growing fond of him, despite him being a ‘stepping stone’ for now.Then when disaster strikes on the breakfast beach ride, Henry comes to the rescue of both Poppy, and Misty.That’s when Poppy realises that her heart lies with loyal Henry.
