from NATURE
If the stars should appear one night in a thousand years, how would men believe and adore.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
American essayist, philosopher, abolitionist and poet Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803 – 1882) pointed out here, in his essay Nature, that we take the wonders of the earth for granted. If they were rarer, they would amaze us. It is an interesting idea to look at the natural world as if you were looking at a once-in-a-lifetime experience. And next time there is a chance to see stars or a sunset or a view of open country or the sea, try not to miss it.
