Mum came over. “Hello,” she said, smiling at Alex and Jess. “I’m Sarah Taylor. What a gorgeous puppy,” she
said as Jess put Pip down so he could say hello to the other dogs. Jess explained the situation.
“Jack and Grace are very good at rehoming animals,” said Mum. “And it does sound like it might be the best thing, the kindest thing, if you don’t feel you can give him what he needs.”
