There was an old man who lived in Middle Row, He had five hens and a name for them, oh!
Bill and Ned and Battock, Cut-her-foot and Pattock, Chuck, my lady Pattock, Go to your nest and lay.
Hickety, Pickety, My Black Hen
Hickety, pickety, my black hen,
She lays eggs for gentlemen; Gentlemen come every day
To see what my black hen does lay. Sometimes nine and sometimes ten, Hickety, pickety, my black hen.
