Fishermen went out on boats every day to catch tuna, seabass, mullet
and anchovies, to sell at the market. Eel and salted fish were a very special treat. Most people could only afford to buy small fish like anchovies.
Tom ran until he came to a busy port. Digby hated water – he wouldn’t be hanging around here for long.
Just then, Tom heard a fisherman shouting. Digby was darting off with a fish in his mouth!
