They pretend to make themselves cups of tea but it’s re- ally just cold water because they don’t have any milk or tea bags and they’re not allowed to use the kettle.They wonder if she has a strange disease but rule this out. Then Zach remembers a film he watched about an alien that crawled into someone’s ear and made them turn into an alien too and that’s when Maisie has to go to the school nurse because she’s hysterical.The friends decide to have a secret meeting at Jodi’s house that evening
and decide that Miss Jones is an alien because she has an alien in her ear and she is planning to make everyone in the school aliens by putting baby aliens in THEIR ears. And Maisie faints.
They decide, the next day at school, to go to the office ladies’ office to search for alien evidence and when they are hiding under a desk because an office lady has come back unexpectedly, they see that she has a weird triangu- lar little toe and know that she has already been turned into an alien! When they all get back to class, Miss Jones is holding the teddy bear and singing weirdly to it while dancing around the classroom. Everyone has to join in but it’s when Gary Petrie, a boy famous for hiding bogies in text books as ‘crusty surprises’, asks Izzy to dance that they know that he is an alien too! Terrified, they are sure that Miss Jones is going to put baby aliens in their ears too, so Jodi suddenly shouts “GO GO GO!!!” and they run for their lives! On her way out, Izzy grabs the teddy bear, because they are sure that it has something to do with all the baby aliens.
