WHAT DO ASTRONAUTS ACTUALLY DO
ON THE SPACE STATION
Astronauts carry out experiments in space. They try to grow plants, watch how animals react in space and test their own bodies.
Astronauts eat dried or packet food and tortilla wraps instead of bread to avoid crumbs, which float around and damage equipment.

Sauces like ketchup are allowed, but no salt or pepper or the grains would float away.
There are no fridges, but there is an oven to make hot food.
