Marking the centenary of the end of the First World War, this exhibition tells the story of the final few months of 1918 through the experiences of local soldiers who survived the war, and the impact the conflict had on their lives. Discover how Barnsley
and the borough have remembered and commemorated 1918 and what local war memorials tell us about The Great War. The exhibition will also explore some women’s experiences of the conflict both at home and on the Western Front.
