THEY'RE A very good team on
the eye to watch, even people
who don’t particularly follow
Leeds will say that as well
- 1 think they’re brilliant to
watch.
I think the biggest bonus is
the manager, obviously he’s a
world class manager and for
him to go to Leeds United while
they’re in the Championship is
massive.
I think it’s well deserved,
league and the best team
to watch.
They’ll only get
stronger in the
Premier League.
It’s all positives
in my eyes,
especially the
manager they had.
Leeds United are
a massive club, they have
great supporters, they always
stick with the team through
thick and thin so it's just
^
them to get promoted
back to the Premier
League.
It'sjustashame
the supporters
aren’t alllowed
in the ground to
watch because
I know they’re
fanatical and would
they’re the best team in the
reward for their support, for

IT'S GREATfor the club,
great for the city. You have
to say that the owner,
Angus Kinnear, Victor Orta
- they deserve a lot of credit
for having a vision to go and
get somebody like Marcelo
Bielsa to come to the club.
Also, encouraging
him to stay after the
disappointment of last
season - that was a big
boost for the club.
Marcelo deserves all the
accolades he gets. He’s got
the club back in the Premier
League and it’s not been
an easy task as previous
managers have found out.
The club has been
through some difficult times
but now we’re sitting at the
same table as the big boys.
Liverpool, the two
Manchester teams and
Spurs and all the rest.
They’ve played some
tremendous football this
season. I’ve said to people
in the past that I think the
atmosphere at Elland Road
over the last season or so
has been the best I’ve ever
known it.
I think that’s down to
the football they’ve played,
the confidence they give
the fans with the way they
were playing and how they
approached games.
From a personal point
of view I was caretaker
manager when we went
down from the Premier
League. That was a huge
disappointment to me
because you always think
you could’ve done better.
We’ve lost Norman
[Hunter], Big Jack
[Charlton] - a World Cup
winner - and Trevor Cherry
recently.
It’s so sad for the football
club but it’s something in
their memory and we’ve
all thought about them.
I’m sure it’s lovely for the
families.
It’s also the centenary
season for the football club.
One hundred years on
to get promotion to the
Premier League is terrific.
JERMAINE BECKFORD
MARCELO BIELSA and his
Leeds United side can be proud
of a massive achievement to
achieve promotion, especially
after the run that West Brom
and Brentford had been on
after the lockdown.
Brentford have been in
phenomenal form, winning
nearly every game since and
itjust goes to show what the
manager is all about what the
players are all about.
Brentford have got four or
five excellent forward players
in their ranks and every single
one of those players have been
firing on all cylinders and West
Brom also have really good
attacking players in those
positions but both also have
some solid players at the back.
So for us to be able to
achieve promotion knowing
that the teams behind are
DAVID HEALY
I THOUGHT they were the best
team in the Championship
last season and didn’t go up,
they didn’t get the results in
the final quarter or so, to give
themselves the opportunity.
The pleasing thing for
anyone with any affiliation
to Leeds United was that
Bielsa stayed, they built on
what they achieved or didn’t
achieve last season and made
improvements.
For anyone who enjoys
watching free flowing
attacking football, even if they
don’t have an affiliation to
them, Leeds are ajoy to watch
at times. They’ve been by far
and away the best team in the
league.
Brentford are in terrific
form, West Brom have always
been in and around the top
two but man for man, player

UNDOUBTEDLY IT’S deserved
- 1 actually thought they
deserved to go up last year
but football doesn't always
give you what you deserve,
does it?
What happened last year
would have hurt the players
and would probably still hurt
them.
You carry that with you
and learn from it, they have
learned from it and they're a
better team and a better squad
than the one that was there
last year.
Undoubtedly I do believe
they deserve to go up.
I’m delighted for them.
I’m a Sheffield lad, a
Wednesday fan as a kid and
now but I have a really big soft
spot for Leeds and the city.
really, really close and have
been in excellent form, that is a
huge confidence builder.
Every single one of Leeds’
players should be proud of
themselves.
Experiencing Leeds
seek promotion
as a fan has been
stressful. It's
so stressful sol
apologise to all
the fans that had to
endure this during my
time.
But it’s amazing, it's been an
eye opener and it’s also given
me an opportunity to see things
from a fans’ perspective and
appreciate everything that they
had to go through while my
team were achieving promotion
in League One in 2010.
There’s a new-found
appreciation and respect from
for player throughout the
season Leeds have more than
deserved it.
They’ve got the fanbase, the
support network, an incredible
manager, young, fit,
hungry players and
they’ll embrace the
Premier League,
which will be ail
the better for
having Leeds in it.
When I went into
the club the remit
was to get them back
to where everyone knows they
should be.
In football no-one can
demand the right to be in any
league or position, you have
to make sure things are run
properly from top to bottom.
It’s taken longer than Leeds
fans would have hoped, it’s
taken another relegation and
experienced it, my son went
to Uni there, I work at Elland
Road on matchdays and have
done for the past 18 months, so
I'm absolutely delighted.
It’s nothing short of what
they deserve.
my part. As for Marcelo Bielsa,
he’s done okay hasn't he??
The guy is amazing.
The thing that most
impresses me is that he has
still kept the core of the
team that he inherited
when he first came
in and he has
turned them from
six or sevens out
of 10s to eight or
nine out of 10s every
week.
He’s brought along
with him a load of coaches and
analysts and every single one of
them has put in so much work in
getting this squad super fit and
super organised also.
It is details like this that
have made this Leeds United
squad one of the best squads if
not the best squad for a long,
long time.
everyone outside the club
wondering what on earth was
going on but now’s the time.
Through thick and thin the
supporters have been there.
really celebrate when they got
promoted.
It's well deserved for the
supporters and the team as
well.
joy.
They’re understanding and
loyal.
They’ll be wishing
they could be there
to see the games
and it’ll have been
hard for them not
to be at the ground,
but there’ll be great
relief, satisfaction and
Losing so many legends
in Jack Charlton, Norman,
Trevor Cherry, this has been
a tough number of months for
everybody and this gives a little
bit of light at the end of the
tunnel, their club being back
in the big time, where they
belong.
They’re back in the Premier
League where they should be,
a club of that stature and size
and a fanbase as big as what
they’ve got
It's sacrilege that they’ve
been 16 years outside of it
