Denys Edwards Players Present
Time of My Life by Alan Ayckbourn
Wed 31 May – Sat 3 June
An amateur production by arrangement with Samuel French Ltd.
Denys Edwards Players return with Alan Ayckbourn’s wonderful bitter sweet comedy Time of My Life.
The Stratton family are celebrating Laura's birthday in their favourite restaurant. Yet is it all as harmonious as it appears? What secrets lie buried in the past? What hidden tensions lurk beneath the surface? What awaits them all in the future?
Time of My Life takes place in the same restaurant, over a number of years, moving back and forth in time, tracking the ups and downs of the Stratton family in a Northern town.

Ayesha Hazarika
The State of the Nation: Politics, power and how we lost the plot
Wed 7 June 7.45pm
Ayesha Hazarika MBE started her career as a stand-up comedian playing clubs across the country. She then took what she thought was a natural diversion into the Labour Party as a Special Adviser working for Gordon Brown, Harriet Harman and Ed Miliband.
Since leaving front line politics she’s become a much sought after commentator writing for The Financial Times, The Guardian, Evening Standard, New Statesman and Grazia.
Ayesha lifts the lid on what life’s really like behind the scenes at Westminster with brutal honesty and humour and asks what's next for British politics.
The State of the Nation is one of the best things to come out of British politics in a long time.
‘Hazarika’s return to stand up is also public service, never less than entertaining’
