Become part of the technical team
We are looking for individuals to be part of our Lighting, Sound, Stage Management and Wardrobe teams during Shef eld People’s Theatre production of What We Wished For.
If you are aged 16+ then visit shef eldtheatres.co.uk/get-involved to complete an application form. The deadline for applications is Friday 21 April.
Skills Workshops
Gain an insight into how we make theatre. Learn about acting, directing, accessibility in theatre and playwriting with directors and creatives from across the season.
All workshops are suitable for those aged 16+ £15.00 per workshop
Acting Workshop

Explore Shakespeare using Julius Caesar as a stimulus.
Making Accessible Theatre
Sat 24 June | 9.30am − 11.30am
Alongside members of the cast and creative team from The Who's Tommy, explore how access can create new and exciting opportunities for a production.
Directing Workshop
Sat 8 July | 9.30am − 11.30am
Aimed at those wishing to begin a career in directing, this workshop is an opportunity to gain skills and ideas.
Writing Workshop
Sat 23 September | 9.30am − 11.30am
Led by writer Chris Thompson
Gain an insight into how to write plays for theatre, exploring how to get started and the process of development. Aimed at writers early in their career.
Acting Workshop
Sat 30 September | 9.30am − 11.30am
Learn about acting techniques and the challenges and opportunities of working with a classic text using Desire Under the Elms as a stimulus.
Acting Workshop
Sat 4 November | 9.30am − 11.30am
Gain an insight into the rehearsal process and how Peter Gill's adaptation of Chekhov's Uncle Vanya is brought to the stage.
Play Reading
Meet a group of like minded people in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere to read and discuss plays linked to the productions on our stages. For people aged 18+.
