 For Him
80s Casual Classics // THE VICTORIAN ARCADE
If you’re a fan of binge worthy TV series, it’s likely you’ll have indulged in the critically-acclaimed, award- winning Breaking Bad.
Fans of the show will know that one of the series’ highest rated episodes (spoiler alert!) features a flashback to antagonist Gustavo Fring’s first meeting with kingpin Don Eladio.
It’s a scene that goes a long way to explaining Fring’s backstory, about how the charitable chicken-chain restaurateur’s love affair with the Mexican cartel began.
But it will come as a surprise to many that Eladio’s outfit for the famous scene – a Sergio Tacchini Orion track top – was provided by 80s Casual Classics, one of the Victorian Arcade’s best loved independents.
Formerly Originals, 80s Casual Classics has called the Arcade
its home for years, but recently expanded into a bigger unit on the shopping boulevard.
Its move to a bigger unit is testament to the businesses popularity. It’s built up an army of loyal customers over the years, who regularly visit for the latest fashion from Adidas Originals, Pretty Green, Armani, Ellesse, Barbour, Hilfiger and the aforementioned Sergio Tacchini.
It’s also famous for its trainers – fans of Adidas Originals won’t be disappointed with the range of classic trainers on offer, including the ever-popular Gazelle range.
As well as Breaking Bad, the shop has also provided wardrobes for
characters in the critically acclaimed This is England TV series, and football drama, The Firm.
It’s those credits that prove the popularity and style of the range of clothes 80s Casual Classics stocks – ideal for him this Christmas.
