What would a music festival made up of world class musicians look like in Barnsley? Come along this season when a vast array of bands
old and new can be spotted playing in familiar locations in and around the town. In this delightful and playful exhibition of new work, pop artist Terry Brookes takes us to this imaginary gig, a must for music and art fans of all ages.

‘Taking Woodstock’ is a 2009 American comedy-drama film about the Woodstock Festival of 1969, directed by Ang Lee. The screenplay by James Schamus is based on the memoir Taking Woodstock: A True Story of a Riot, a Concert, and a Life by Elliot Tiber and Tom Monte.
Also enjoy a 20 min tour of the exhibition by the artist Terry Brookes

Beats Bus

The Hull Beats Bus is a mobile recording studio that provides music and art workshops for children and young people, and it’s on its way to Barnsley for one day only. Come and join them for hip hop music and graffiti workshops, both inside and outside of the gallery.
10–11am & 11.20am–12.20pm | Free pre-bookable slots for ages 13 and
under, children must be accompanied by an adult | Book via Eventbrite
1–3pm | Free drop-in for 13-year-olds and over. Young people over 13 don’t need to be accompanied by an adult.
