Joining WGHS
Whilst the majority of girls join WGHS at 11+ (Year 7) or at 16+ (Sixth Form), many girls join at other entry points throughout the school.
First steps
If you are interested in your daughter joining WGHS, please get in touch either by telephone, email or through the WGSF app. Our Admissions Secretary will be happy to advise you on the entry procedure.
Come and visit
Prospective parents and pupils are encouraged
to come and visit WGHS either on a personal visit or at our annual Information Morning or Sixth Form Information Evening.
Visiting the school will allow you to meet the staff and pupils, take a tour of the facilities and get a feel for life at WGHS.
Making an application
An application form needs to be completed and returned to the Admissions Secretary, along with the small application fee, in order to register your daughter for entry into WGHS.
Please note: the completion of an application form is not a guarantee that your daughter will be offered a place at WGHS. Entry to the school is subject to your daughter meeting the necessary entrance requirements.
Taster days
Following testing, if a girl would like to experience WGHS life, she is welcome to spend a day in school by prior arrangement with the Admissions Secretary.
