AHEAD OF THE CURVE
Round shapes, scalloped edges and graceful curved corners are big news for 2019.
Perhaps it’s a reaction to the straight lines of the minimalist look or maybe we’re all looking for soothing, organic shapes in an uncertain world.
Either way, circular furniture, tiles, sofas and accessories will be a high street hit this year.
There’s something decadently 1970s about a round sofa, especially in a sumptuous dark tone. Add a metallic drinks trolley, a scallop backed chair and you’re basically James Bond in ‘Diamonds Are Forever’.
