7. KEEP THINGS SEASONAL
It’s important to consider the weather outside before a viewing, especially
in winter. Potential buyers will be trying to envision themselves all cosied up in your living room, which will be hard if your home is freezing cold. Just before viewers arrive, turn the thermostat up a few extra notches, pop the fire on and even put a few blanket outs – it can make all the difference when your guests are rushing in to keep out of the frosty conditions.
8. SORT OUT THE BATHROOM
The bathroom is often one of the most challenging rooms to keep
tidy, particularly if you have a full- house jumping into the shower every morning. Nevertheless, it’s a room viewers will inspect, so you’ve got to do your best to keep it looking spotless and organised.
Keep the windows open and ensure the extractor fan is being used so there isn’t any trapped moisture.
Put out clean, dry towels and hide away all your favourite shampoo and conditioner, so it looks nice and roomy.
A common turn-off we see is when
the sealant in-between bathroom
tiles has started to turn mouldy, it can easily be solved by scraping away and replacing.
9. GET BAKING!
It might be a bit of a cliché, but there is no denying that there is nothing quite like coming home and opening the door to the smell of a freshly baked loaf of bread. If you’re the sort of person who tends to leave things in the oven a bit too long, brewing a fresh pot of coffee can work just as well.
Just make sure to leave the place sparkling after you’ve finished making the place smell aromatic by wiping down and polishing all surfaces and appliances included in the sale, as well as clearing the sink of any dirty dishes.
