        Me and My Bear!

Inspired by the clawsome world of Bears! in children's literature, this bear-illiant display
of paw'fect portraits captures some of our visitors with their bear and the story of why it is so special to them.
This community engagement project has been generously supported by Seven Stories as part of the Arts Council Strategic Touring Fund .

Artists and Adventurers:
An exhibition of fine and
decorative arts by women
Saturday 15 September 2018 - Saturday 12 January 2019
From the wonderful art collections at
Cooper Gallery and Cannon Hall Museum, this exhibition brings together paintings, ceramics and glass by great women artists. Explore inspiring and innovative creations from Hannah Barlow at Doulton and Cannon Hall's own Gertrude Spencer-Stanhope from the 19th century, to renowned 20th century painters Vanessa Bell and Prunella Clough and ceramicist Lucie Rie. The exhibition will also look at the challenges and opportunities women artists have faced over the generations.

Barnsley College 'Best of Exhibition Friday 14 September - Saturday 13 October
An exhibition featuring the very best work created by students from Barnsley College. Over the last year a panel of judges from Barnsley Museums have selected pieces to showcase the high standard of work produced by the college students.
