The Big Barnsley Lego Build

10.30am - 12.30pm 11.30pm - 3.30pm
To launch The Barnsley Brick Project Exhibition we welcome Lego aficionado's Bricks4Kidz in this not to be missed fun filled, Lego-tastic
two hours. Help us create a model town by building your own Barnsley landmark from Lego. You will be given lots of tips and advice and when you're finished place it on the map! Be inspired by Will Alsop's model of Barnsley Town Centre in Experience Barnsley or visit the exhibition.

Explore texture to make your own brick printing blocks inspired by The Barnsley Bricks exhibition. Join Clare Grace from the West Yorkshire Print Workshop and use your imagination to design and print buildings of Barnsley in the future!

Film Showing: Black Diamonds

Black Diamonds is an iconic film about coal mining and its dangers by miner and amateur film maker Charles Hamner. Partly filmed in Barnsley the film begins with the recreation
of the 1912 disaster at Cadeby and then the efforts of a miner John Morgan to convince an MP to finance a film about pit life.
