TRENDS #1:
PURPLE REIGN
2018 sees the colour purple come out of the fashion wilderness and into the trendiest of homes and wardrobes. The Pantone Colour Institute has recently announced that Ultra Violet, otherwise known as Pantone 18-3838, a rich, blue-toned purple, is their colour of the year.
Its intense tone and warming vibe can bring drama and impact to any space, while it’s also a good companion to other calming tones,
such as cool pinks, sultry silvers and soothing greys.
The key with a vibrant shade like this is to not be afraid to experiment.
It o ers the ideal chance to make
a statement so look out for velvet chairs, sofas or cushions. It also works particularly well in glass items or paired with metallic silver objects.
Don’t forget to mix in di erent textures and nishes to keep the look fresh.
