THIS IS JOSH A.K.A. TUNDRA! HE WORKED AT SMC FOR 7 SUMMERS BETWEEN 1994 TO 2004.
WE CAUGHT UP WITH TUNDRA TO SEE WHAT HE'S BEEN UP TO AND ASKED HIM ABOUT HIS TIME AT SMC!
SINCE LEAVING SMC, WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN UP TO?
WORKING AT CHURCHES, TRAVELING THE WORLD, STARTED AN ONLINE CHARITY (WWW.KUTOA.ORG), GOT MARRIED, HAVE 4-KIDS, AND AM NOW THE LEAD PASTOR AT A CHURCH IN QUEBEC.
WHAT'S ONE THING GOD TAUGHT YOU WHILE WORKING AT SMC?
IN MY LATER YEARS AT SMC, THE CHAPEL WAS A SWEET PLACE OF PRAYER FOR ME. THERE, READING GOD'S WORD, REPENTANCE BECAME A PART OF MY EVERYDAY PRACTICE, AND I WAS GIVEN CONFIDENCE THAT IF WE CONFESS GOD WILL FORGIVE US (1 JOHN 1:5-10).
I BEGAN ATTENDING SMC IN THE JUNIOR CAMP PROGRAM WITH MY MOM WHEN I WAS JUST 1. AS A CHILD, I LOOKED FORWARD TO CAMP ALL YEAR. LITERALLY, ALL-YEAR! ONE YEAR, I THINK I WAS ABOUT 8-YEARS OLD, MY MOM TRIED TO REGISTER ME, BUT SHE WAS LATE AND CAMP WAS FULL. I WAS BROKEN AND REMEMBER CRYING. BUT JUST A WEEK BEFORE THE SECOND SESSION WAS TO START, I GOT A CALL FROM ONE OF MY FAVOURITE COUNSELLORS TELLING ME A SPOT HAD OPENED UP AND I COULD COME. IT'S ONE OF THE HAPPIEST MEMORIES I HAVE AS A CHILD.
WHAT'S ONE SMC MEMORY YOU WILL NEVER FORGET?
