SESSION 7 : Song of Songs Chapter 2:11-17; 3:1-5

cross, and is aware of the need for the manifestation of the resurrection

life of Christ to be seen on earth. But it is still not sufficient for her to
be able to move out and follow Him to the holy mountains of separation

          (verse 17).

The actual Hebrew translation of “the mountains of separation” literally

means “mountains of Bether”, which is the Hebrew word for

separation. As I read these words, the Holy Spirit quickened me and
led me to 2 Corinthians 6:16–18 and also Romans 8:18–19. Let me

          explain:

          2 Corinthians 6:16–18 (TPT) reads:

“For indeed, we are the temple of the living God, just as God has said:
‘I will make my home in them and walk among them. I will be their God

and they will be my people.’ For this reason, ‘Come out from among

them and be separate,’ says the Lord. ‘Touch nothing that is unclean,
and I will embrace you. I will be a true Father to you, and you will be

my beloved sons and daughters,’ says the Lord Yahweh Almighty.”

          Romans 8:18–19 (TPT) reads:

“I am convinced that any suffering we endure is less than nothing

compared to the magnitude of glory that is about to be unveiled within
us. The whole universe is standing on tiptoe, yearning to see the

unveiling of God’s glorious sons and daughters.”

The Beloved Bridegroom is calling the Shulamite to a deeper level of

separation unto Him—and He is calling us to the same. Why? Because
