But I wasn’t letting go. I wasn’t letting go of my only guy friend.
He was all I had, even with Chris as my crush.
“But Jayson… you can’t do that. You just can’t! I love you.”
Jayson shook his head and turned away toward his house.
“I do too. But for now… it’s best for us to separate. I’m sorry.”
He didn’t even say goodbye — Perrie did. But it wasn’t loud or
perfect enough for me to hear and wave back.
He went back to his house, and I did the same. I entered my house
with tears dripping slowly down my face. My eyeshadow faded with
each drop. The rain made me completely wet and ruined my outfit and
makeup.
