I honestly felt an ache in me when I said that last sentence. I know
he made his decision to separate us—but I haven’t. I’m still thinking
about it, because, definitely, I haven’t and won’t lose my best friend.
“Good. Don’t worry, though; everything will turn out fine in the
end. Jayson will come back to you. That, for sure, I know.”
“Thanks. And for now, I think we should head to bed.”
Myra came closer to me and kissed my forehead softly. I felt such
comfort from that—from a really good sister.
“Thanks, Myra.”
Myra smiled genuinely and went out of the room. I closed my
eyes and went straight to sleep.
