THE LIFE OF A TEENAGE GIRL
“Yeah,” I muttered. “So, are you surprised I beat you this time?”
He chuckled. “I guess—but I knew you’d eventually win. I don’t
expect girls like you to be that horrible at games like this.”
I laughed so hard I thought I’d die from it.
“You’re kind of a funny guy.”
“Really?”
“Yeah.”
“Anyway, I haven’t gotten your name.” He tried to change the
subject, but I wasn’t ready for it.
“Oh… um.” I didn’t want to give him my real name—especially
since I didn’t know him that well.
“It’s fine if you don’t want to tell me,” he said quickly. “You can
fake it and make one up.”
“Uh… it’s Els.” I already knew it was a horrible name.
“Cool. I’m PrinceTrev.”
I laughed again. “PrinceTrev? That’s so made up—and fake.”
“I know. I thought of it last minute.”
“Nice. But I gotta go. Um… text you tomorrow afternoon?”
“Okay. I’m only free at that time anyway.”
“Alright, bye.”
“See ya.”
I’ll admit—I had a good time talking with him. Like I said, he’s a
pretty cool guy.
