Carly Mathis was selected as Miss Georgia in June 2013 and represented the state at the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City, NJ. Carly was one of the seven National Finalists for the Quality of Life Award, a Preliminary Winner for Lifestyle and Fitness in Swimsuit, and one of the Top 10 Finalists at Miss America 2014. She began her involvement with the Miss America Organization when she was 13 years old and was Miss Albany’s Outstanding Teen in
Dr. Mitchell is the Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students at the University of South Alabama. He received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Alabama, as well as a Master of Education and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from The University of Southern Mississippi. While serving as the Associate Dean of Students at the University of Southern Mississippi, Mitchell served as the Director of the Miss University of Southern Mississippi Scholarship Pageant.

Laura Quisenberry has a long history in pageantry starting when she was crowned Little Miss Colorado in 1975, then Miss Colorado USA in 1992. Since then, she’s judged, emceed, and coached pageant contestants. Her daughter, Caitlin, followed in her footsteps when she was crowned Miss Colorado’s Outstanding Teen 2013 and was a semi-finalist at Miss America’s Teen pageant. Growing up, Laura trained in dance, but her true passion and talent was baton twirling. She performed at the Denver Nuggets basketball games, was the state champion and placed in the top 5 nationally. Laura modeled throughout the US and Japan
2008. Carly is a 2013 graduate of the University of Georgia’s Grady School of Journalism, where she majored in Digital and Broadcast Journalism and minored in Communication Studies. Carly graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2018. She is licensed to practice law in Georgia and the District of Columbia and currently specializes in Personal Injury and Criminal Defense.

Dr. Mitchell is a member of the 2009 Class of Mobile’s Top 40 under 40. He is a member and served as treasurer of the Beta Omicron Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc and is a Past President of the Mobile-West Rotary Club, in addition to being a member of the 100 Black Men of Mobile. In his spare time he enjoys collecting African and African-American art. He and his wife Merlinda have two daughters, Maiben Mackenzie and Macy Alana.

Laura holds degrees in Behavioral Science and Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Development. She taught 1st grade until she started her family and became a stay at home mom. Laura is a Colorado native, but now calls Nashville, Tennessee home. She’s been married for 27 years, and is the proud mom of Cole, a Brown University hockey player, and Caitlin, a Pepperdine University graduate and rising country artist.
