Flea and Tick Control: Now is the time to control fleas and ticks. Apply an insecticide to control a wide variety of insects, included but not limited to, fleas, ticks, chiggers, ants, spiders and many more. Protect your family and your pets!
Cool Season Turf
• Mowing: Fescue and Ryegrass are in full swing growing, which means we need to be in full swing mowing. As you get further into the mowing season, you should slowly begin to lift your mowing height about every third mowing. REMEMBER! Never cut more than 1/3 of your grass blade on each mowing.
• Watering: Water as needed 1"-2" per week. This is a critical time for your cool season grass to be healthy and thrive. If the ole’ saying holds true, Mother Nature usually provides adequate moisture in the month of April (April showers bring May flowers) Fertilizer: Apply high nitrogen fertilizer. Apply .5-.75 lbs. of N per 1,000 sq. ft. Remember, do not apply any more than 1lb. of N per 1,000 sq. ft over a 4-week span after it has been thoroughly watered in. This helps provide good color and turf density.
