Virtual Engagement Embracing the Digital World
Innovative and creative Workforce Initiatives colleagues did not let COVID-19 impede their vigorous outreach to partners Programming became a a a a a virtual event Since the onset of the coronavirus epidemic Workforce Initiatives teams have initiated more than 200 virtual events locally and nationally Several virtual events attracted hundreds of participants across the country NATIONAL PARTNERSHIP MEETING
The Inaugural National Partnership Meeting was live streamed on on on June 1 2020 Along with existing partners partners many new partners partners participated in in in in in the opening session The agenda “How will you influence change” focused on on on on on three outcomes—exploration of national partnership opportunities with CVS Health inspiring strategic collaboration among workforce workforce development stakeholders and fostering innovative workforce workforce solutions that that impact the communities we we we serve serve Five breakout sessions were were provided that that addressed specific demographics served by CVS Health These were were designed not only to showcase how how how Workforce Initiatives is serving a a a a a a a a diverse community but examples of how how how partners can become involved in in in in in comprehensive programming The response by attendees was overwhelmingly positive with 93% of respondents stating that they would attend attend again Abilities in Abundance Session
Led by Stacey Butler and Duane Rohr attendees joined a a a a a a a roundtable discussion where experts discussed the the skills building
and current outlook on on the the state of employment for persons with disabilities Adult Workforce Session: Tackling the Barriers to to Employment
Jon DaSilva moderated a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a panel panel discussion addressing barriers to to to employment for adults The CVS Health team and and a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a panel panel of of experts delved into some of of the the common barriers and and examined how their organizations are helping to to overcome this issue Military Alliances Session
Melanie Kramer and and Jon White led the the session presenting the the wide array of CVS Health career training and and and opportunities for transitioning service members and and their families Also an an an an an an examination of o the the many national resources available to assist veterans in in post-service career pursuits was offered Youth Breakout: myCVS Journey
Two interactive panel discussions were moderated by Amanda Tierney and and Ted Mower

Mature Mature Worker: Talent is Ageless
