Over the coming years, we will see Spar’s great peace symbol in over 50 cities around the world.
The sculptures will be anywhere from 12 to 20 feet high in each of the cities.
How did he get there?
Moving from an emotional void to the “mind that knows the way”
As mentioned, he realized early in his career that pursuing these goals left him empty and lonely.
Then he began to hang out with a group of people that changed his life. They helped him realize that “life is about joy and happiness.” That doesn’t rule out money, but it puts money in its proper perspective.”
He realized that he couldn’t cry. He was devoid of emotions. How could anyone hope to reach a state of joy and happiness when he didn’t allow himself to feel? You can’t experience joy if you don’t feel.
He realized that the first step was to get in touch with his feelings. He prayed, and still does today 30 years later, that he would experience emotion in enough depth to bring tears to his eyes every day. During our interview together, we both reached that state as he mentions in this sound clip.
