After testing the process with her family, she took her “intuition testing kit” to school and began testing her school mates and teachers. She designed the first test using ten adults and ten children as subjects.
She explained the test which involved each person turning their back to her and closing their eyes while she placed the doll under one of the cups and moved the cups around several times.
Then she would ask them to turn around and pick-up the cup that their intuition told them covered the monkey. She did this three times with each of the 20 subjects (10 adults, 10 children).
The probability of pure chance is 1 out of 3 or 33% or 1.0 right choice out of the three opportunities.
On this first test with 10 kids and 10 adults, the adults averaged 1.3 which is certainly within the range of pure probability leading to no conclusions. The kids, however averaged 1.8 which is well outside normal probability.
