Foundedin1902,HeronSchoolofArtandDesignisthepremieraccreditedprofesionalschoolofart anddesigninthestateofIndianaandispartofthethrivingurbancampusofIUPUI.Heronhasmore than50ful-timefacultyserving1undergraduateandthreegraduateprogramsandacuriculum that preparesgraduatestobeleadersinaworldthatrequiresauniquecombinationofcreativity,conceptual skilsandtechnicalabilities.Heronisanengagedcommunityandregionalpartnerincludingfivepublic gal leries;youth and continuing education program s;and the Basile CenterforArt,Design and Public Life.
nce 2005,the Gal leries atIUPUI's Her ron SchoolofArtand Design have served as a vibrantsite of exploration,participation and learning.Heron'sgaleriescontinue to be an innovative educational forum fordiverseaudiencesbyprovidingdirectandmeaningfulencounterswithartandartiststhrough awiderangeofcuratorialprojectsandpublicprogramming.
