PFD BACK STYLES
YOUR CHOICE OF FLOAT, YOUR CHOICE OF BACK.
Best used with:
Mesh-Back
Thin-Back
Standard-Back
Mesh-Backs are designed to accommodate the taller seat backs which are becoming more common in recreational fishing kay- aks and canoes. The newly crafted design avoids interference with even the tallest of seat backs, thanks to the increased height of the mesh back panel and the carefully sculpted and contoured edges of the back foam elements.
This also eliminates any edges that often get hung up on the seat backs, so you can simply enjoy the ease of paddling
in comfort.
Thinner back panel style PFDs allows for a more natural sitting posture on seat backs of any height or style. By spreading the flotation elements over a wider area and decreasing the thickness in the back panel, the thin back design creates less bulk and helps avoid interference when paddling.
Standard-back PFDs are the more tra- ditional style paddling jacket and are designed to work with boats without a seatback. With a lower profile than a mesh or thin-backed PFD, the standard-back design fits well with sprayskirts.
