The New American Home
The New American Home exhib- its an array of innovative design concepts and trends. Located
in Henderson, Nev., within the luxury-home community of Ascaya, the four-bedroom, five-bath single-story home features two showroom garages, a wide variety of fully integrated smart-home technology and a well-appointed indoor/outdoor entertainment area. Throughout the home, the design-build team from Sun West Custom Homes utilized some of the industry’s most advanced building prod- ucts and techniques to optimize
energy-efficiency. The home is expected to achieve Emerald-lev- el status, the highest efficiency rating of the National Green Building Standard (NGBS).
The New American Remodel was originally a single-level, three-bedroom, four-bath home built in 1977. The home was completely transformed into a two-story, four-bedroom, five- bath modern-day residence. The build team of Element Building Company and Phil Kean De- sign Group centered the home around sustainability while showcasing innovation, excep-
tional design and energy-effi- ciency. Notable features include a showroom three-car garage, five radiant fireplaces and a rooftop terrace with a view of the Las Vegas Strip. The home is also designed to achieve NGBS Emerald status.
