If someone is in immediate danger of hurting him or herself:
; Take the person to a hospital Emergency Room to be evaluated by a health professional.
If the person refuses help:
; Call9-1-1tohaveapoliceof cerevaluatetheperson.
If the person is a danger to self or others, the of cer can transport the person to
a hospital where he or she will be held for up to 72 hours while further evaluations and treatment are conducted.
