Hundreds of dads and father figures across Brevard County made a special effort to take their child/children to school on September 25th in recognition of Florida’s “Dads Take Your Child to School Day.” The Florida Department of Education promotes this annual initiative to highlight and support fatherhood engagement in education. Research indicates engaging dads, brothers, uncles, father figures, other significant male role models, and male mentors, increases student success in numerous ways.
