First and foremost, I would like to thank my teachers and fellow students for six years at Edgewood. For our last issue of The Edge for this 2018-2019 school year we focused on two seniors that have made names for themselves both on and off campus. Note: off-campus. Each and every student at Edgewood shares the common link of attending this school located at 180 E. Merritt Avenue. As a senior, in my dwindling days at this school, I’ve looked into what defines me outside of these gates and I challenge each and every one of you to do the same. For Dylan Black, 12, it was his dedication to music, soccer, his family, and a goal to someday attend The United States Naval Academy. For Jordyn Vu, 12, it was a drive to be the best that she could be; a drive that came from no one other than herself. As seniors we will each share the fact that our last high school days took place at 180 E. Merritt Avenue, and for underclassmen, you share the fact that 180 out of 365 of your days each year take place at 180 E. Merritt Avenue. That is a great starting block but it is where you go from here that will define you. Go out and make a name for yourself, find a passion. Thank you.
