Six Brevard Public Schools teachers have been selected as finalists for the 2019 Teacher of the Year distinction. These individuals were selected from among 92 district teacher and employee of the year nominees by a panel of judges comprised of principals and teachers from all over

What do you love most about teaching: “Often times, it’s the high-five
I [get] when a student uses a breathing technique to deescalate a feeling that could have led to an emotional trigger, [or] the phone call I receive from a parent who is relieved to have someone just listen to their concerns for their child.”

What do you love most about teaching: “In my position, I get to be an ally for teachers and a cheerleader for students, while teaching a variety of subject areas.
