2. Custom Bevel Edge Custom Tops
Description
A bevel edge countertop is the same as a standard custom countertop but handmade with a 3/4” particle board substrate and a 3/4” x 1 3/4” build down making the front edge 1 1/2” thick. The only difference is that the edge of the countertop is banded with a 5/8” bevel on top. Almost any color combination can be made.
Note: Only 5/8” bevel available when doing bevel radii.
Bevel edge countertops can create striking design results. Since the bevel edge is created by mitering, there are no black lines. Therefore, solid colors recreate the look of a solid surface top at a much lower price. Be creative.

A wood edge countertop is the same as a standard custom countertop handmade with a 3/4” particle board substrate and a 3/4” by 1 3/4” build down making the front edge 1 1/2” thick. The only difference is that the edge of the counter top is banded in wood: however,
this upgrades the durability level of the top. A wood countertop edge can be abused alot more without showing the effects as conspicuously. A wood edge can easily be sanded and refinished by the homeowner. Granted a laminate edge can be repaired, but to get a good job requires a lot more knowledge, skill and specialized equipment than the average homeowner has. There are a lot more knowledge, skill, and requires specialized two basic kinds of wood edge tops should say There are two basic kinds of wood edge tops.
