On the Occasion of the 43rd Commencement Ceremony
At His Majesty the King’s 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary Auditorium, the National Institute of Development Administration Monday 13th February 2023
Dear Mr. Kasem Watanachai, Privy Councillor
I, Mr. Veeravat Kanchanadul, Vice Chairperson of NIDA Council, acting on behalf of the faculty members, personnel, students and those who participated in the ceremony, am deeply grateful that His Majesty the King has graciously granted a representative for this commencement ceremony. I would like to briefly report the progress of the National Institute of Development Administration as follows.
For academic collaboration, NIDA has participated in His Majesty the Kings’ project in the field of research on polar science with other Thai organizations, including NSTDA; National Astronomical Research Institute of Thailand (NARIT) (Public Organization); Chulalongkorn University; and Burapha University; all of which worked together with the Polar Research Institute of the People’s Republic of China to develop joint research in polar science, oceanography, marine biology, geophysics and geochemistry. Furthermore, NIDA also cooperated with the Bureau of the Budget in assessing readiness and developing personnel for local administrative offices to apply for annual expenditure budget allocation for human resource development, in order for each office to be ready as a budget receiving unit according to the Budget Procedures Act, 2018.
In terms of ranking and assessment, NIDA received a score of 6,150 (out of 10,000) for the UI Green Metric World University Rankings 2020, a global ranking of universities that promote the environment and sustainability, placing NIDA at 299th out of 912 universities worldwide, and 21st out of 37 universities nationwide. In the Integrity and Transparency Assessment (ITA) in Government Agencies in the fiscal year 2022, the institute received a score of 95.29%, AA classification, or 4th place among 68 universities.
