I started working on this album in April of 2020 when the Covid 19 Pandemic visited our shores. We were totally shut down, so I decided to get my creative juices going and got back into song writing and recording. I managed to release 7 singles in Ireland from April 2020 to November of 2021. It started with writing Take Me Back to Dublin into recording two of George Jones classics, The Waltz of The Angels and She Thinks I Still Care.
I then hooked up with Larry Gatlin and we wrote Come Tennessee Me Tonight on our way back to Larry’s home in Nashville after performing at The Grand Ole Opry. Then my son Ryan and I wrote a song about what we were all going through with the pandemic called We’re All in This Together.
Johnny and Iggy Broderick from Galway sent me a fun song they just wrote about the Matchmaker in Lisdoonvarna called Looking For Love in Lisdoon. We then filled the album with other songs I was hoping to record someday. I hope you enjoy the Country & Irish mix and a special thanks to the very talented Jonathan Owens for a brilliant job producing these tracks...
