GPPAC Online Services
What we do
GPPAC offers online communication services to civil society organisations that need to communicate better and be more visible, transparent and inclusive.
GPPAC acquired its first experience in online projects for civil society in 2009 with the development of the Peace Portal (www.peaceportal.org), an online open platform designed to strengthen the voices of civil society working on peacebuilding and conflict prevention. On the Peace Portal, users can create their own online working spaces and organisation pages to promote their work and connect with other practitioners. We use our interactive map to visualise peacebuilding work worldwide.
Building on the potential of the Peace Portal platform and looking to contribute to its sustainability, GPPAC started collaborating with several partners on online projects. We have developed a collaborative business model where other civil society organisations can:
• use our online platform,
• benefit from the knowledge and expertise of our
worldwide network of civil society organisations,
• use our expertise in online communication services
for civil society.
Using the Peace Portal technology, we can help civil society organisations with:
• cost effective solutions to support the dissemination
and online visibility of projects, events, publications
and campaigns,
• advanced solutions to support communication,
networking and online interaction
• with colleagues, partners and civil society networks.
We can advise and support both external and internal communications needs.
Why GPPAC?
As a global network of hundreds of civil society organisations working for peace, GPPAC believes in and strives to give a stronger voice to the peacebuilding and development community.
What can you get from collaborating with GPPAC?
• A partner that speaks the language of civil society
organisations and understands your needs,
• access to a truly global community of peacebuilders
and like-minded professionals,
• becoming part of our online peacebuilding
community: we will promote organisations, projects and campaigns on peacebuilding and conflict prevention in our network.
