Empowerment and Protection
The website was built to share and promote GPPAC’s publication ‘Empowerment and Protection: Stories
of Human Security’, which was launched at the
Dutch Permanent Mission to the United Nations. The publication shares and analyses people’s sense of threat and safety through the lens of human security. Spanning six regions of the world, it presents the accounts of people living in Afghanistan, the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Zimbabwe, Ukraine, Mexico, and the Philippines.
The website was created to allow users to read and download the book online. The structure of the book was replicated online, with each chapter of the book available as a downloadable PDF and embedded in the page for online reading.
