100 Tonne Cows
AMBER MARY 25 EX92
Amber Mary 23rd EX91 by Amber Classic Prince has been one of those cows that you hardly notice you have got. She consistently breeds at regular intervals, having had her first calf in September 2012 and her 11th Calf in November 2022. At the time of writing, she is dry and due to calve in November to Amber Cobra. She has had 9 bull calves and 2 heifer calves, the first one being sold as a heifer and the second only being born in 2022 by Amber Poseidon. Mary always keeps a low profile
in the herd coming in the parlour mid milking with no problems and that is why you hardly notice she’s there.

AMBER DAINTY PRINCESS 155 EX92
Amber Dainty Princess 155th by Jotan Red is the most prolific milk producer we have ever had achieving 107, 638 kgs in 9 lactations on twice a day milking. She calved her 10th calf in September, a bull calf by Amber Poseidon and is giving 55kg daily. Two of her earlier heifer calves were sold as heifers and a later one has run with the bull this summer. Three stock bulls have also been bred ourselves by Treeton Pingerley, Amber Corona by Amber Poseidon who were both sold to other Shorthorn breeders as young bulls. She is still very sprightly for her age with a feisty attitude and still high up in the pecking order of the herd.
CHURCHROYD FAY 6 EX91
Fay was born in 2009 by the homebred sire Churchroyd Pluto a Marleycote Cosmonaut son of Churchroyd Peggy 6 EX93.
She calved her first calf in Jan 2012, a consistent milker she peaked over 10,000kg in her 5th and 6th lactation and had a production index over 110 no less than 6 times with an average fat of 4.06% and average protein of 3.11% over her lifetime.
She classified excellent as a 5th calver and then went up another point as an 8th calver.
She was a typical herd cow who likes no nonsense or change to her routine. She was never a show cow herself but was grand dam to the 2022 UK Dairy Day Reserve Champion and Heifer Champion and also to the Reserve Champion cow at South West Dairy Show 2023
