December, when Evan Jones’ Merton Hall Hot 23 ET sold to local breeder, James Farmer,
Tanglewood Flock, for 350gns.

is out of the Munch Conker-sired
Merton Hall First Chuckle and
changed hands in-lamb to Airyolland
Freuchie.

MELTON MOWBRAY & WORCESTER IN-LAMB SALE
A shearling ewe from the Hunter family’s Skelton Whin
Flock from Hunmanby, Filey, headed up the Winter
Warmers sale at Melton Mowbray Market on Saturday, 25
November, when she sold for 380gns.
Sired by Withy Trees Garibaldi and out of the Tywi Eager Beaver
daughter, Skelton Whin Foxglove, Helen sold to Jack Smith for
his Brakes Flock near Nash having ran with the 2500gns
Greenall Houblon.
The Hunters sold further females for 280gns including Skelton
Whin Glamour to RE Spooner, Chilney, and Skelton Whin Jessie
to FJ Baid and Coles, Silverstone.
The second highest prize of 290gns was paid by J Lanham,
Taverham, for Matt Prince’s Stonedge Jess ET, a March-born
Broughton Willie Wonder daughter bred from Hackney Daytime.
Mr Prince, from Ashover, Chesterfield, also sold Stonedge
Jasmine and Stonedge Jeranium for 280gns apiece to Harry
Hawkins and Partners for the Touchwood Flock near Cowfold.
A fifth female to make 280gns when also sold to J Lanham was
Yorkie Jessy from CD Timm, Pickering.
