YOUNG MEMBERS
SUMMER SHOW COMPETITION
The Society held a competition for Young Members at the following summer shows: - Royal Ulster (Balmoral); Royal Highland; Royal Cornwall; Great Yorkshire; Royal Welsh.
Where numbers were sufficient, entrants were split into two categories, under 16 and under 26. They were judged throughout each show by an anonymous judge, looking at showmanship; appearance; behaviour and general attitude.
The winner at each show received a glass plaque, with 2nd and 3rd prizes of a Society Tie, mug and Notebook.
Each overall winner from the 5 shows went forward to an Overall Championship and the winner was awarded a British Blue “Naturecraft” Figurine, to be kept for one year (kindly presented by the late, John Vinders) and the Society provided the winner with a body warmer.
OVERALL WINNER - Katie Aitken and she was presented with her prizes at The Royal Welsh Show, by Judge, Terry James.
