On Friday the 9th December, Penrith & District Farmers’
Mart LLP held their December sale of Dairy Cattle.
Dairy Shorthorn heifers topped at £2047.50 / 1950gns from Messrs G A & D
Dent, Winton House with lot 1 Oxton Zumba Clarissa 47 giving 20L selling to Mr
N Teasdale, Kirkby Thore. All in all, all entries realised their full value and if not
more in places.

their sale of 31 Dairy Cattle.
The sale topped at £2205/2100gns from Mrs S Armstrong & Sons, Moorriggs,
for a Dairy Shorthorn bull, Moorriggs Charles, sired by Winbrook Claridge
EX90.
A very sweet 3rd calved Dairy Shorthorn cow, giving 38 litres topped at
1800gns/£1890 from Mrs S Armstrong & Sons, Moorriggs, for Moorrigss Sparkle
23, giving 30 litres, purchased by Messrs JM & J Fisher & Daughters,
Armathwaite.

On Friday the 21st July, Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart
LLP held their December sale of Dairy Cattle.
A quality consignment of cattle was forward. Messrs GA & D Dent, Winton
House, sold a run of 4 pedigree Dairy Shorthorns to average £2008.13, topping
at £2205 for lot 3 Winbrook Peeress Rose 34, calved 2-weeks and giving 25kg, a
superb strong heifer with an excellent udder, purchased by Messrs NM Strong,
Street House.
