Page 358 - FINAL MASTER 616pp 20-6-19 SOUND
P. 358
I don't know why you feel Mrs Hillgarth has a "vendetta" against you. This is not a vendetta. It is a normal reaction from any normal person who believes (in the absence of a rational explanation) that they have been cheated.
You don’t know Mrs Hillgarth like I do, Mr. Begg... believe me, it’s a vendetta as why else wait 12 months after the scaffolding came down to request if we got council permission to erect scaffolding on a Sunday....or was it to dismantle – I can’t honestly recall without looking it up?
And why wait 12 months to request documents/details/information from the 2014 period – she could have requested documents once the works were finished 31 December 2014 – or even on receipt of the 2014 year end accounts dated 30 May 2015 if they were so important for her (or any lessee).
Seems a bit obtuse to request so late if so important. Reason on both above, accounts and scaffolding, is simple – something to query, complain, annoy after probably a quiet period – we’re used to it, it’s predictable I’m afraid – that’s why it’s called a vendetta!
Show me ONE single request from any lessee for documents from any year end accounts save for Mrs Hillgarth’s tardy request on 17 December 2015
By now you will be aware from your co-directors that your statement on the refurbishment is not as accurate as you make it sound.
(reply) If that is reference to Tony White’s Witness Statement, I think, I hope, I’ve covered it? As I’ve previously made clear, any misfeasance if proved must be laid at my door so fingers crossed.
As I have informed your fellow directors, unless we have full disclosure of the missing balance of £61,867 by close of business tomorrow Wednesday 15 June, I am instructed to put the matter in the hands of the National Fraud Crime Reporting Centre ("Action Fraud"). I will not ask for this information again.
(reply) I still find it somewhat obtuse that I was not copied in on what you sent to my fellow directors – not cricket I would surmise? I would though appreciate a stay of execution from the National Fraud Crime Reporting Centre ("Action Fraud").as I do believe I have, yet again, more than adequately explained the finances, how they were spent, who spent them, who got them and what we all got for £105,877 – admittedly not in Mrs Hillgarth’s studied opinion, but as far as I’m concerned and the majority of lessees, past and present, tenants, past and present and one hopes all future lessees and tenants, a uniquely sophisticated Chelsea residence celebrating its 100 Birthday next year.....and no more major works until 2021(ish) – but will we all be in Europe or out, that is the burning question, not bickering over 10 invoices? Did you receive her £250 original... hope so.
I will not ask for this information again. – That’s a relief...! Yours sincerely/Paul Brown-Constable
