F or years we have been asked to produce our own magazine. So now, due to popular demand, a warm welcome to the first issue of EXPOSURE, which is dedicat- ed to informing, entertaining and illuminating film, television and video professionals working throughout all
areas of our great industry.
When we first approached the idea of
launching a new magazine we were adamant that it should be an extension of our own marketing philosophies. EXPOSURE will focus not only on the constantly evolving world of exciting new technologies but will also reflect the single most important con- stant in this fast developing universe: the human factor - on both sides of the camera.
So sit back for a moment, relax and enjoy reading EXPOSURE, which features among
others, screen idols as diverse as Kim Novak and Michelle Pfeiffer, two of Hollywood’s enduring superstars of yesterday and today.
They have both managed to look good to box-office millions because of the skill prac- ticed by consummate professionals like dou- ble Oscar-nominated cinematographer Tony Pierce-Roberts and award-laden camera operator Mike Roberts (no relation!), who’s generally acknowledged today as “best in the world.” Two quite brilliant behind-the-cam- era artists who rightly deserve EXPOSURE.
Other features include series producer Ken Warwick explaining the continuing phe- nomenon that is television’s Gladiators; TODD-AO lifting the lid on the launch of their new company; how Pearson’s helped to put Channel 5 on air on schedule plus the inside track on Panavision and of course, some golf- ing chit-chat from our own Richard Pun. ■
